What Have You Done To Your RC F Today?

Finally got out for a drive today on Highway 128 around Lake Berryessa. Went early this morning before the heat. I am guessing we should be around a 100 degrees here today. Summer tourist traffic seems to be gone. Lots of drunks up there in summer.
So I tested the lighter brake rotors on the front and rear. I cant say it is a massive difference. I do think the car feels faster right off the line but it might have also been the warm asphalt. The car does feel more nimble. Like a better rebound response.
I can certainly say the combination of lighter rotors and MPS4S tires have really helped the car. I think the tires made a much bigger difference and the new rotors were very subtle.
Either way the new rotors look cool!!! LOL!

Yeah, tires make a big difference as well especially in terms of steering feel and cornering loads especially going from the OEM MPSS tires. I am really looking forward to putting the XL-version of MPSS tires on my car. Too bad I have to wait until April of next year since I want to go 285/30/19 in the rear, which will be slightly wider and slightly shorter in the rear so that will give me about 2% shorter gearing while gaining more stiffness in the corners. Michelin does not have this size available yet in MPS4S tires so I am hoping they will introduce this size in the next few months.

^^^^Any reason you don't want to go 295/30/19 in back? Closer in OD than the 285/30 and more rubber on the road They are available in PS4S.
What your looking at doing reverses the OEM stagger. You'll have a larger OD in front than in the rear.

Yeah, I thought about it a lot. The MPS4S tires especially the XL versions have a much more "meaty" sidewalls. As it is, with my stock MPSS tires, there is very little clearance in the rear. My fear is, the 295/30s might start to stick out a bit and might be a bit too wide for the OEM 10.5 inch wheels.

^^^^OEM rear wheels are 10" not 10½". And 10" is the minimum recommended width for a 295/30 tire. BTW, I ran modified RCF wheels on my ISF with 255/35 and 295/30 Bridgestone S-04s. Tires were fine. no bulge. Handling was superb Like a slot car.
Note - All PS4S tires are XL.
I now have 'em on my LC, 255/40/21 and 295/35/21. I dumped the Bridgestone street RFTs. The PS4S are GREAT so far.

Thanks. Definitely, something to consider.

Running 20x9 +38 and 20x10 +30
I'm not far off from sitting how I want to. Had to compromise since I couldn't find diamond black te37s until I found these but the specs are a little conservative.
Can anyone chime in on how to calculate what spec spacers I can safely run? Is it worth it? Looks like they'd be 5-10mm adjustments at the most.
They don't look bad but obviously there's room for the fenders to sit more evenly aligned with the wheels.

Are you on stock wheels? Can you post a picture from a rear 3/4 angle as I want to consider 295s, but am paranoid that the 10 inch width of the rear might not be optimal for a 295 or 305 as it might not "sit" full width on the wheel?

You can easily run 20x9 + 30 and 20x10 +25/26. That is essentially using a 20mm and 15/16mm spacers on stock tires. However, keep in mind tire choice is also a factor as some tires run wider than others. You can use TireRack for help as they list tire widths. For example, Michelin A/S 3+ runs wider than DWS 06 (these are two tires I have run on different cars).

Rims got Rings :)
Pretty narrow park entries sometimes here so here is some shinny protections.
I'm about to switch to Cup2 tires and
noticed some going 295x30 but what about fronts? I think if I'm cutting some cerbs on track, I'll need all the meat I can.
