RCF vs CTS-V
#19
I just traded in my fully bolted IS-F for a CTS-V sedan with the 6 speed manual trans. My V will arrive next week sometime but having test driven one it seemed a touch faster than my F with headers and exhaust but prob would have been a driver's race.

Hey Matt maybe we will have to hook up and see who is faster...but I have 20' Vossens...could slow me a doubt a touch???

Hey Bret, yea we need to meet up sometime, really want to see ur car. I'm loving my CTS-V, 6 speed manual just killer in this car. I'm looking at exhaust options now, car sounds pretty good but needs a little more volume. I will email u when I get back from NY next week and we can get together

To be honest, it looks to me like the CTS-V auto transmission sucks badly especially compared to the RC-F auto.
Looks like it has terribly long ratios and probably is very slow to shift. I wonder how the RC-F would fair in a rolling start race against a 6 speed manual CTS-V?

A couple more vids for the doubters. CTS-V got the hit on each run.

My 2012 CTS-V with manual transmission weighs about 250lbs more than an RC-F but 556hp and 551lbs of torque more than makes up for it. I'm not saying I could beat an RC-F, I'm a novice when it comes to drag racing but the car does 60 in under 4 seconds and 12 flat in the 1/4 with the right driver. These types of videos prove nothing, u can find videos on all day long of cars beating other cars they shouldn't beat. Def not bashing the RC-F, it's an awesome car and if I didn't need a 4 door car I would have def traded my IS-F in for one of them.

If this the type racing that rc f owners like to do, bunch of straight away, and highway speed. Might as well get the hellcat. IS F and RC F, i think are made for real track. No matter how much mod u put in u car, its always the driver makes the difference...its doesnt matter what it says on the paper, whos faster or how much horsepower..
