He could get in and out (he also races so used to tight spaces) but his helmet would poke up the soft targa top.

Lotus are incredibly fun. I killed three trannies and engine in mine, all Toyota products. The Evora seems to be a bit better, but its still a Lotus. Research and go in with eyes wide open so you won't be disappointed or frustrated.
I have an RCF but I do miss a mid engine action (a great GT but not a true sports car). Thinking to get an Evora S once it is cheap enough. However, a 5 mins research showed that the build quality is subpar.

I always thought those lil' cars looked sharp but i never really thought seriously about getting one, seems like they would be a pretty ruff' riding vehicle. Now, i guess you just confirmed about the build quality! But they DO look Sharp!

Once the Evora 400 makes it to the US soil, the price for Evora and Evora S hopefully will drop further. A local dealer has 20+ new ones in stock advertised at 15k off msrp before negotiation. I would never buy a Lotus new, but once the price is below $40k I might take a chance with the quality.
Last Lotus I had was a 94 Esprit S4 in 1999-2000. Was a very fun car with a terrible ergonomic and quality. Check engine light came and went and nobody could find what it was.

I have an appt with a local GT-R certified dealer to take a look at a 2015 they have on the lot.

Hopefully that will help me remember why I loved the GT-R so much, or perhaps show me why the RC-F is a better choice in the end.

I won't pull a trigger on either until next summer, but gotta start somewhere, right?
curious if there is an update to this
