Default 2015 RC F VS 2008 IS F @ Import Face Off Videos

My best run was 12.8093 @ 111.52 MPH , DA corrected time 12.328 @ 115.961 MPH

Went to Import Face Off yesterday and got some runs with Gearbangin (08 IS F) with Joe Z intake, PPE Headers, Borla Mid Pipe, and RRRacing Straight Pipe Exhaust. I also came home with a trophy! =P

All the runs that we did, I won because I always get the jump from the tree. All of the runs were done in Sport + Expert mode, brake torque @ 2000 RPM, no burnouts. The last run on the third picture I did it in full auto.

BTW I tried doing a burnout before a run and it locked me out of 1st gear due to slippery conditions and ran in 2nd gear and did a 13.5.

My number is 294 Enjoy!

Very burly! How many lengths did you beat the IS F roughly? Was it stock or modded?

Awesome videos. Your runs were great. Your car sounds great. I really want an RC-F sedan.

Probably about half to 1 car length, it was really close, I always get the jump on the tree though. The IS F has full bolt ons.

Thanks for the share! Based on the time slips your cars are extremely close competitors so definitely a good job driving well to get the wins.

Lost on the tree every time even with me being faster of the two cars. Cars are so close I could never get that time back on the big end. You see my car is about a tenth faster and 1 mph trap speed. Not bad for a 7 year old car.

Shhhhhhh!!! I was hoping nobody else would notice your car was faster until you guys got some good roll races in lol. A 1mph difference in trap speed is going to bring on some super close roll races

Anyone ever consider installing a 2-step into the car?

That way you're not loading up the converter each time, and you would have a more consistent (and adjustable) launch.

Just a thought.

I am not familiar with a 2-step, what does that do for the car?

Thanks

A 2-step is used to hold the RPM on the car. Very similar to what launch control does for Vettes, GT-Rs, ect. Now, it only holds the RPM, it will not help with traction, so that's on you to get right haha.

Two steps are mostly used in boosted cars to build boost at the line.

Its very valuable in applications such as that, but saying that they are "mostly used" is far from the truth.

I hope PPE and Sikky come to the table with some good gains. I've got faith in Paul, especially with the additional room he has in the wider engine bay on the RCF.
