Has anyone noticed that when the car is cold the redline on the Tach extends all the way to 5000 RPM and then recedes as the car warms up?

Yep, I thought that was a cool touch to let you know when the engine was ready for the revs.

I noticed it when I first test drove the car and the salesman had no idea what I was talking about. I haven't and won't try it, but I wonder if it will shift at the lower redline when pressed hard.
