Thank you for that info, but I bet they black-chrome METAL, no? Black-chroming plastic is an entirely different process. And the other problem is I want it to look OEM, meaning I'd have to be able to chrome a new OEM emblem so it can be installed with the factory double-sided adhesive. It'd be impossible to cut something myself and make it look OEM. And yes, sometimes I hate myself for being that picky. Ha ha. Will call them anyway, and see what options they offer. Thank you again.

I'll post pics when I'm done with the few mods I'm doing to this car (tint, radar-detector mount, etc).

QUESTION: Has anybody defeated the stupid fake engine noise in SPORT+ mode? Supposedly, there's a speaker under the dash (system does not use stereo speakers) that emits the noise. Would like to disconnect it. Thanks.

On the negative side, my car has 2 freaking rattles since I left the dealer: one on the door panel, and the other on the roof rail above the window, where the curtain airbag is presumably mounted. The door one is more annoying. If somebody has removed a door panel, pointers are welcome. Rather do this myself than any dealer, so will give it a try first if I don't get used to it (don't think I will). Not very impressed with Lexus QC. Hope it's not an indication of other problems to come.

On the comment side, if you want the rear spoiler all the time deployed (the way I have it), or never deployed, just turn the auto wing option OFF on the left-screen menu. One thing I didn't like is when you turn the auto system off, you CANNOT move the wing with the manual switch. Wherever the wing was when turning the system off, it's going to stay there until you turn the system back on. And yes, it doesn't even retrieve when you open the trunk (like the manual says). FYI.

Hey gang, two things. Decided to order V-LEDs V3 Triton turn-signal system and hope for the best. It's going to be a close call, but doubt anybody else was going to try it. Will report my results when I get them. But after removing one taillight and measuring the V3 Triton in another car (but has a different base, so couldn't test it physically), I think I can make it fit, and the correct way, which is to attach the resistor to metal. That will eliminate ALL incandescent bulbs from my car. Only the reverse ones are not LEDs, but are halogen. And most importantly, clear, so completely invisible. All LEDs would be noticeable thru the clear lens, and don't want that. With the clear V3 Tritons, both reverse and turn-signals lenses will look clear, which is exactly what I want. Plus those Tritons are bright, and they'll match the front LED turn-signals.

Now to the second thing. I'd like to make the car louder OUTSIDE, but without any extra noise inside the car while cruising. Was thinking of doing the same thing as the GTR, which was to just remove the 'mid pipe' with secondary cats, and add a resonated one with no cats. It was perfect like that, with no extra noise inside the cabin, and definitely louder outside. All the RC-F systems I've heard sound way too loud to not add noise inside the cabin. I'm not fond of the fake noise in sport+, but at least I can hear the 'engine' even with the stereo loud when I want to... and just turn it off by switching to sport mode when I don't. I always drive in manual mode, so there's very little difference in both modes. The only system that doesn't add extra cabin noise I know of is Corsa, due to having Helmholtz (anti-resonant) chambers. All others typically drone like ***** at lower rpm. And are noticeably noisier inside (no drone, but noisier) at higher ones. The sole reason I bought this car is so my wife would travel with me because it's quiet enough inside when touring. Therefore, it's either a proven solution, or leave it alone. Just wanted to throw that in case there's something out there I'm not aware of. Thank you.

Good and bad news about the Triton V3 LED turn-signal bulbs (the only ones I'd install in my cars). The good news is I'll be able to install them. The bad news, you won't. Turns out V-LEDs decided to separate the resistor box from the controller box, instead of just one unit. There's no safe way to do a proper installation without removing the bumper... which I wasn't going to do. Anyway, I pulled the single resistor boxes from my other car, and used those on the RC-F. But it still was a big time challenge. Won't go into details since nobody else will use them, but not looking forward to install the other side tomorrow. Ha ha. Almost gave up, but finally figured a way to secure the damn boxes on the metal to the side of the car, without having to unclip the bumper. No other LED turn-signal lights are totally clear like the V3 Tritons, so if you see a white RC-F like that, it's mine. Sorry for the bad news. Will still call V-LEDs tech support tomorrow and ask if they still have single boxes available, and report if they do. Have a good one.

EDIT: Car is done. But what a PITA. Now that is done, glad I had the patience to make it happen. Clear lenses, and super bright when on. I really like amber turn-signals; much safer IMO. Couldn't call Eli at V-LEDs to see if they still have the single-boxes optional. One of you could call if interested. I'm almost done with my car. Just need to get the windows tinted. And possibly the clearbra installed (if the front is not that messed up by then. Nobody local worth a darn to do it here). Have a great weekend ahead.
