Lexus is definitely not hitting their sales targets for the RC. They were hoping to sell 1,600 RC and RC-F's a month and they have yet to reach that target.

It's probably worth the extra to enjoy the RC-F in the summer. In a few months, where we live, I would feel bad driving a new RC-F through the snow, salt, and gravel.

I might sound selfish but I actually don't want Lexus to sell a boat load of the RC-F, so that makes me feel special

According to the head of North America, they plan on selling 200 RC Fs a month and 1,200 RCs in the US. Toyota doesn't break out RC F's from Rc's in their quarterly numbers.

^^^^THIS is EXACTLY how i Feel! The LAST thing you want is to see one on Every other Corner like you do Corvettes. From what i've heard there's Only 3 right now in town where i live & that includes mine. Dealership is 90 miles away & that's the one pretty much everybody around here that buys a Lexus goes to.

I cover all of the big car shows for my blog/forums, so I get press passes to pretty much every show. For a car guy, car show season is pure heaven, so I've been doing this for fun for a couple of years now. Great way to keep me entertained in the winter months.

As for the RC-F impressions, I was doing the photo work for it. From what I remember, I really liked the rear of the car, and hated the front. The front has grown on me since then. One of our other writers did the article for it:

Funny bit from that shoot, when they invited us up to get a closer peek, I made a beeline right to the interior while Jeff Bracken was still speaking, as they are always the toughest shots to get. I got my pics in then security promptly pushed everyone else aside, closed and locked the doors, so we had the only interior pics posted for 24 hours lol.

I did the GS-F unveil this year too, and got to check out the RC-F GT3 up close. That was pretty awesome.
