I find the Lightning Lap (Car and Driver) times offer a better representation of each vehicle's ability in stock form. FYI: Lexus is still behind the competition there too

The Corvette guys didn't start making excuses haha. They're just as disappointed as everyone else that GM couldn't give them a car that was working right. If only GM performance had Lexus quality and reliability or vice versa... what a combination that would be.

Seems everybody will end up with turbos eventually to keep in like with mileage and pollution requirements...

It's a good thing GM's old trusty V8 still gets over 30mpg highway or that thing would be gone too. GM can't make a very good turbo motor, I've read their turbo 2.0L has a lot of trouble. But I guess compared to Lexus motors, everybody has "a lot" of trouble haha.
