World's Greatest Drag Race 5 !! w/ RC F
#5
Nah it would be exactly the outcome you would expect. The Vette is an absolute rocket, as is the Bentley. The Porsche was a Cayman GT4, not exactly a drag car anyway. All these cars were a part of the Best Drivers Car contest, in which they need to be a new model or significantly different than the prior MY. There was no new GTR this year. The Golf also can fairly close to the RC F's time.

a 12.9 second street car is still pretty damn fast! It might be slow compared to some of those monsters, but still faster than probably 80% of the cars on the road.
My first car did 16.90s at like 84 mph LOL and I thought it was fast as a kid!

^^^^Exactly, i remember back when we had our old dodge darts, demons & dusters & camaros & nova's & if you ran in the 12's that was a FAST car for the street. I had a Vega that had a 350 with 2-4's that only ran in the high 11's & it was the Fastest Car in town! Lol! Back then even if you had a car that ran in the 13's or 14's was considered pretty fast for the street.

Wow, yep that brings back some Memories. Mine was a darker burnt orange almost like a dark burgundy color, maybe almost like a rust color, Lol. I need to look thru some of my OLD photos & see if i can fine one. Does your brother still have it, is it strictly a drag car or does he drive it on the street (what kind of times does it turn). Thanks for the Pic Stock Vegas were some really Crappy Built cars but made some really Good Street Beasts & Drag Cars

The RC F's main competitor in this comparison is the ATS-V and it was 0.4 seconds behind in the quarter mile. Hardly a slacker. Right in line with the class. Also, the ATS-V finished one slot above the RC F in the comparison test that led to this one.
I dont think the C63S is in the same class. It costs $90K. You can get a CTS-V for that. While, the ATS-V is priced right in line with the RCF.

I looked at the C63 closely, but probably 75% of owners say they'll never own an AMG vehicle outside of warranty. They cost more than I feel is worthwhile to maintain. I'm a tightass lol I hate wasting money on overpriced maintenance.
