F-Off: Say Bye Bye to Lexus F's Naturally Aspirated V8
#31
Like LDEUX, that was one of the many reasons I went with the RC F instead of the other turbo motivated choices.
I think V8s have a persona that just can't be matched with V6TT and its one I definitely prefer. All in all,
I'd much rather have a V8

Nothing like v8, nothing. But I'm all for more efficient power. Twin turbo 550bhp!

I see this move as a bump in value for those who will own the V8 version. This was my first V8 car I've ever owned, and one of the motivating factors in buying it was that I didn't think V8's would be around much longer.

This all but confirms that the IS-F will be back, but as a turbo 6! This makes not having to borrow the GS's front end feasible and so the new IS-F will just look like a beefed up version of the current IS. This could be interesting!
I'm gonna hold on to my '09 IS-F though.. nothing like that v8 growl!

What kills me is they will be creating fake exhaust noise through the speakers. Arrrgh. Love to hear a TT6 with no cats! Just kidding. Seriously fake sound? That alone would have me reaching for a used 2015 RCF 10 even 20 years from now. Speakers are for music not muffler sounds.
