Default TPMS Alert

The TPMS went off this morning due to the cool morning here in Northern Virginia. My tires were at 37 psi using an external gauge of known accuracy.

What are you all setting your stock tire pressure at and have you experienced an alert with the cooler days?

Enjoy your rides!

They say every 10 degrees cooler, you lose 1lb of air inside the tire.. Due to ambient temps.

Best thing to do is set the tire psi cooled before driving on them.

Tricky I know, since most don't have air tanks in the house..

So set it 2-3 lbs over near your home then next morning use your trusty gauge to set all the Psi to the same level.

What's the door jamb sticker say ??

Recommended tire pressure is 36 cold, so you need to reset your TPMS man (this car has that feature). It was probably reset with much higher pressures, like it probably happened to me, as my pressures were way over 40 when I checked them the next morning after purchase. Dropped them to 36, and reet the system. Read your manual, but the button is under your steering wheel. Set the pressures to 36, reset the system, and the TPMS warning should light up at 33 or so. Hope this helps.
