I currently own a 2011 Audi S5. In short...I have had numerous issues over the last 9 months and am anything but impressed with the reliability of my car at this stage. (It only has 24,000 miles).
I've been very very interested in the RCF since its initial announcement and am looking at the possibility of purchasing a CPO after the new year.

I feel like there is a very good supply of used RCF's online around $63-$66,000 However, it seems like you could even buy a new RCF for that price, or extremely close to it. But today I just noticed that there are 2 on Autotrader listed for below $60,000. IMO, these cars are not selling like Lexus has thought and it seems like their prices are continually dropping. Am I missing something here? Or do you see this continuing to happen? Because if so, I plan to definitely wait a few more months before purchasing one. By then I might be able to buy a CPO for ~$57 with less than 10k miles.

RCF is awesome but I guess not a lot of buyers yet. Also, dealers barely gave good deals before October so, there's a high supply of RCFs and it's almost 2016 in a few months. Now, Lexus (or whoever) is helping the dealers with $10k rebates. Loaded cars was around $79k MSRP. Now (- $10k Rebates) = $69k or cheaper.

 

I was justed offered a 36 month lease, 7,500 miles a year at $899 per month. $73k MSRP, negotiated price $67k, 0.0008 money factor and 59% residual. Thoughts?

 

You can get them lower on the sales price I switched from a 2013 S4 to the rcf and love it

 

You can do better, I got $899 for 36/10k in March with $0 out of pocket and the MF back then was higher too.

 

Really? I feel like I might be able to as well, but he said he's at his bottom dollar. He said he's already ~$1300 below invoice. I asked if he would agree on a price of $64k, which would get me to $799/mo but he said no. Should I push the residual more?

 

You can't push the resdiual. Only sales price

 

How low do you think I can push that? If some are saying there's better deals to be made, but the sales manager is saying he's at his bottom dollar then it seems there isn't anymore room.

So I pretty much have two local dealers negotiating against eachohher. The one however refuses to show me anything writing until I come into the dealership to sign the papers bc he doesn't want me to use it against him.

Yeah I had 799 before and was thrilled but the dealer told me in Texas you pay sales tax on the entire vehicle. So tax titles and fees was $4,100 in total. That's an extra $150 a month.

 

Lexus wouldn't be so stupid to offer a $10K rebate on a car that just came out. They were a little stupid to overproduce it IMO. But those discounts are a combination of things. Lexus is probably contributing some, but I doubt more than a grand. The car simply hasn't sold in the numbers produced, so dealers have to move excess inventory out any way they can... before 2016s arrive. Having said that, I haven't seen a brand new RC-F sold 10 grand below MSRP; those deals have been demoes and slightly used (including executive) cars. It can happen, but wouldn't be wide-spread. Still, that's not good for resale, but hopefully that will pass. And Lexus will adjust production to better match demand.

 

What are the current programs on RCF? Residual, MF, etc.
Is mid 700s realistic

I'm finalizing my M3 order but will need to wait a few months for it to be built/shipped - hopefully getting allocation for December.

 

I definitely think $8-$10k off is obtainable. I only called 2 dealerships yesterday and had them both immediately agree to $6k and $7k off MSRP. I will be contacting 3 more dealers today to see what they say. Bottom line is, I'm in no rush to sign as lease because I truly think there are amazing deals to be made. Keep everybody posted on offers I get.
