Looong Crank
So...I got my RCF 2 weeks ago and since then I have experienced normal crank and start or just little delay crank and start, just now after stopping by somewehere for about 30mins got back to the car and experienced almost 5 seconds crank and then started...I used to experience the same with my RC350 but it wasnt a crazy long crank, what could be the cause to this issue? I have also seen some videos online of some RCF starting up (usually exhaust videos) and I can hear the same little delay crank on some of them.

This happened to me about 5-6 times since I got the car in March, most recently about 10 days ago(about 10 seconds cranking up before start). Then a day or two later I had the SRS Airbag light come on so I took it into the dealership. They questioned me about any irregular issues with the car taking longer than normal to start and I mentioned the super long cranks and they said its a common issue with the OEM battery. The low battery causes the Airbag light to come on as well apparently. They swapped the battery and told me to have it charged by the dealer during every service interval to eliminate the issue.

Yep, no reason to. Long crank was a symptom of the high pressure fuel pumps going out on the Bimmers. I had it happen a few times probably around the 10,000 miles mark and wondered if fuel pump. Over 18,000 miles and all is great. Drive it like you stole. I did and mine runs noticeably better now than when new. Enjoy and welcome!

That was the first thought that came to mind too. My car starts almost instantly, even after more than a week sitting in the garage. Never had a car with keyless ignition start so quickly before. Hope it stays that way. Already have a ton of rattles, so hope at least the mechanicals are okay. On cars with key ignition, I always let them cycle (testing sequence and fuel pump priming) before cranking, and it definitely shortens the cranking time.
