the only thing the mechanic should adjust for steering wheel straightness is the toe. It shouldn't mess with the alignment much. I do understand not wanting to mess with the alignment for a new car but when we installed sports steering wheel for new cars, alignments are always done.

yes mines is Tom's Wheel, I know it covers 12months or 12,000miles for alignment, I just don't like the idea having the dealer mess with the car, they could mess it up, make it even worse. I went there for oil change at 500, because the car was sitting at the dealer for over 1year, and the put in 0w20, don't' realize til I got home and look over the invoice it stated 0w20, and I have to go to another dealer to get it replaced with the correct oil, [the first dealer where I got the car and oil change was over 50mins away from my house [lexus of arlington height], and (McGrath Lexus of Chicago) was 20mins away, I got there and talk to the service manager, and they change the oil free of charge for me. I will just wait, for now the tom's wheel is back in the box. I don't trust anyone working on my car, simple oil change how could they mess up?

i agree with you. I had my service at 2 different dealership. They both filled wrong oil and overfilled. It makes me wonder how many Lexus are driving around like this. Either way my last service at the dealership.
But with alignment. They give you print out of before and after. Might as well take advantage of the service. Moreover, different techs for different jobs.

Do you have to torque the nut to 37 lbs? Would you be able to just screw it back on?

i have been hitting and pulling the wheel for last few mins and it’s still not coming off. I am scared if I will break anything if I pull or yank too hard? The wheel nut is lose and I put it back lightly.

Took me a minute to decide to go ahead and do this.

Thanks Mod in Japan for 1 day shipping!

One tip I want to share.
After loosening the bolt. Leave it on. Then you can really yank at the wheel and it comes off relatively easy. I pulled back on each side (top, bottom, left, right) with a short yanking motion.

grab wheel at 3 and 9 o’clock, push one side while you pull on the other, do that alternately, it should loosen the wheel. If not, you’ll need a wheel puller.

tired few times and whole wheel assembly is moving, I am not a small guy so know the force is definitely there. I ordered a wheel pulled from
amazon .. there are so many don’t know which will work.

Used metric 8m screws and steering puller took out the wheel in less than a minute. I definitely recommend using the puller rather than pulling and yanking. Hopefully nothing is broken by all that beating to the wheel assembly.

Ok guys wheel is in thank you all for the valuable input on this forum. I was little intimidated to attempt the process but it’s fairly simple. The hardest part for me was to take the wheel off / I used a wheel puller and some screws. Got the puller off amazon, attaching the pic highly recommended.

I also removed the shifters to carbon and the front plates to carbon too.
pics are in the garage but looks amazing.

these cars should come from factory like this, I got my wheel custom made by #Wovenchang took about 6 weeks to order to my door. The f logo was there too. I have a 2019 GSF with red interior. He was very good in customizing it and updating about the delivery.

I really want to get a GS-F, currently own a GS 350 f-sport, and the only thing keeping me from doing it is the **** ugly wheel. The wheel in the gs350 is much much nicer, so does anyone know if it is possible to just straight up swap the steering wheels? Hopefully same connectors for the wheel button/controls?
