Perhaps it was the o2 sensor! At least you solved the issue, hopefully it doesn't come back!

Great Work..!!

Those O2 wires do not like to be twisted whatsoever..

The FSM states to turn them counter clockwise approx. 3 full turns, so that on reinstall the wires are perfectly straight..

I will be doing this exactly when I install my Invidia exhaust hopefully in a month or two.

Is it that difficult to just completely remove the o2 sensor from the firewall? I think I read somewhere that the plug is up in the foot well somewhere. Then there would be zero chance of anything getting twisted... Anyone do this or know the exactly location? Does the carpet need to be removed?
