Default RCF GT3, how'd they get that power?

Does anyone know what they did to increase power on the GT3? I'd love to be able to replicate it on my rcf! I have my thoughts but wanted to know if anyone knew for sure? Thanks!

It has been converted into a race motor. I doubt it is easily doable with the standard RCF since the internals were lightened up and strengthened to handle the increased 8000+ rpm revs. It makes all of those 540 HP through high revs. It is sort of like the GT350 V8 engine. The transmission I believe is also a dog box with straight cut gears so that it can handle engine spinning that fast.

In case you aren't into racing, rebuild intervals for true race motors making this kind of power are pretty short.

For example two racecars my wife is looking at buying have these constraints: First is a BMW M3 at 30-40 hours for a high strung S54 and also a Porsche 996 GT3 cup car at 100 hours (you can get 200 hours if you just are doing DE events) before rebuild is needed.

Just wanted to throw that out there for folks who have dreams of high HP built motors but also keeping Lexus longevity.

Yup..also go look at auto trader at used Ferrari's...

So many good, low mileage ones for $80k or less. Most with less than 30k miles or thereabouts. All before the first major service, which means pulling the engine, rebuilding and reinstalling for $40 grand. Garage queen only.
