Default About to buy a used RCF, any input would be appreciated

Hello, first time posting here. I may be joining all of you as an owner soon.

I have test driven and negotiated all I could on a used 2015 RCF. I really enjoy it. I wanted to ask if any of you have anything I should be sure to have checked prior to purchase? any known problems?

Would love to hear any positive or negative comments.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, the car I may buy is a blue/black with 12 k miles, nicely equipped with nearly all options except TVD.

Check for tire and camber wear and brake wear (not a big issue if stock set bc dealer can change new pair that's less dusty and noisy for free). Check for melted rubber from burnouts. Run your fingers along the body edges for repaint/accidents as not all appear on carfax. Other than that, there isn't much else beside some owners complaint of noisy fuel pump bc they use Shell gas. There is a fix for that now though.

Make sure you are ok with the transmission shift speed on eco, normal, and sport mode. A lot owners complain about it. Always drive on sport+ (does get rid of it) is a bit harsh for daily.

What's the negotiated price before ttl as your original sticker is around 75-76k?

Does it have carbon fiber roof and spoiler? If it doesn't it's probably stickered 73-74. Fully optioned out Rcf sticker around 79k

Original sticker was $74k..no carbon fiber roof, no TVD.

Buying it for $54k, clean carfax, clean car. 75 % tire tread left.

No real mechanical problems other than the already mentioned fuel pump noise which Lexus just recently addressed. Congrats and post pics!

Car seems rock solid based on my experience. 27,000 miles. No issues except for the early tail getting stuck up which was addressed long ago with an ECU flash. Never had a fuel pump noise, but I always drive in Sports +, except for long highway trips where I use Eco mode when in cruise control. The engine seems to get better or stronger with age.

Congrats! You'll love it. Don't freak out when you hear a hissing noise come from under the car, even after being parked for hours, it's normal

He said no CF package or TVD therefore no performance package.
I didn't get performance package because I really wanted the moonroof. Kinda wished mine had the TVD option though.

Congrats! !!

Is this from a Lexus dealer? Certified Lexus car?

If it is a certified LEXUS car from a LEXUS dealership, then it will have unlimited mileage warranty for the specified number of years which I don't recall right now. Anyway I bought mine used with less than 2k miles from a Lexus dealer as a certified Lexus car back late last year before the unlimited mileage warranty took effect if I had bought after January 1st, 2016. At the time I got it down to 59k plus ttl. Original MRSP OF around 75k.

I absolutely love the car. Very rare where I am. I shipped the car after I bought it from SoCal to the "deep south" out in the boonies where I fly in to work. I have not seen another RC-F except at the small Lexus dealer some distsnce away where the salesman drives one. I've seen one other RC350 and that was it. Everywhere I go, people wanted to know what it is. Many are surprised it is a V8! Even my LEOS friends wanted to check it out. Blocked off long stretches of highway middle of nowhere and tested it. It was a blast! !!

New name for the RC-F. ......... J.A.M. Japanese Aston Martin! !!

Blue is a GREAT color by the way! Although I prefer the grey seats.
Keep us updated if you picked it up!

Do you think $54k is a good price? Buying it from a Porsche dealer.

This car is a steal at $54k from a value, performance, looks, reliability and etc. perspective. A whole lotta car for the $$$. If it the color and option combo you want, don't sweat it and never back look back.
