Default front license plate RC

hi everyone,

I bought my rc f not too long ago but it came with a front license plate. I was thinking about taking it off but are the holes really visible? is there any way to cover it up since it is on the spindle grill?

thanks

I would think it wouldn't be that noticeable but either way it COULDN'T look as Bad as the License plate. Maybe it's just me, but i've always thought they look like a BIG Eye Sore! Just glad i don't live in a state that requires them.

Where was it at, on the bottom or in the middle? I actually think the ones in the middle look better than they do when they're on the left or right bottom. Either way i think you'll be ok, i wouldn't think they would have attached it to the grill itself (as far as putting holes in it).

I haven't had a front license plate on my cars since the 1969 Olds 442. Not one ticket yet, repeat, yet.

It's only a fix it ticket, just get it signed off if you get caught.

It's all luck. You only need one picky CHP and he will pull you over. I didn't have front plate for 8 yrs and bam one day CHP waved me from the side. He wasn't even behind me but pulled me over from side of freeway.

I got stopped once by the CHP for tinted windows GS400 but he never went to the front of the car. Next "chance", city cop in Palo Alto pulled me over for illegal left turn during commute hours in my GX. I saw the sign half way through the turn and couldn't exactly back up. I had no plates on the car although I purchased it two years previous. When I showed him the registration, for some reason he thought it was a recently purchased used car. BTW, he asked if I knew why he pulled me over and so I told him I has already turning when I saw the sign. No ticket.

mj, sounds like my kind of man! I just can't imagine of having to put those in the front of some Beautiful Cars. What exactly is the reasoning behind this, so the cops can read your front license plate if you're behind them?

that and so they can get a radar/LIDAR/laser bead on the car (CA plates are reflective for this reason), also for red light cameras and airplane/helicopters etc.
