In that case there was a leak in the oil line, approx 2 years after initial install. Bottom line is I always tell people that you need to be very aware of potential issues, especially when you heavily modify a car. So one way to avoid something like this is to routinely examine your garage parking spot for leaks, before they become critical.
I had a supercharged customer once say he smelled fuel, and also had a CEL for failed primary o2 sensor…. At a track day. He didn’t want to call it a day and tracked anyway, eventually he had an engine fire and a huge repair bill. When you modify it’s critical to have basic knowledge and respect for what you are doing.
