Anyone with Borla exhaust changed the muffler tip?
#46
Dyno'd was before with drop in only, as well post headers. Basically, all the dyno's can be seen at rr-racing's website. Exhaust its just that, the dyno numbers for the RCF vary by a few hp and really this variable is dependent on the environment of the car / where the dyno is taking place. The overall difference from just the intake, drop in filter, and exhaust to the addition of the ppe headers is a big jump. Introduce the tune ( also RR Racing ) and the car really shines from up top. 3rd gear became the power gear. I have had my car dyno'd at RR a few times, and everything matches up to what they posted. In some cases, my car was " the dyno" that was used.

If I can give another admittedly unsubstantiated anecdotal claim, I found the throttle response to be "a bit crisper". It certainly sounds faster. While we are on sound, I recently got the Borla installed and it is LOUD. Make no mistake about it and don't let anyone sell you different. If you want to make noise, only the Meisterschaft (spelling) seems to be louder. I love the cold start and the upper range when you get on it, but being very honest I wish it were dual mode. I want valves in the thing so that I can make it quieter when I need to be..entering my work parking lot..or when my mom is in the car....leaving early in the morning. The new C7 does it with a butterfly valve but I think that has quad pipes and they close off two. The Armytrix does it at the muffler on of the two muffler tip exits. I did see a post about some less than stellar results with Armytrix reducing power on an Audi R8 with the valves closed so I avoided it.
