How are you guys blacking out your window TRIM?

I see that there is a window showing how to wrap the trim on a Maserati but does anyone have a video of either them or someone else explaining on how to wrap the trim on the RCF's? I saw one on the IS and the guy was very clear on how the molding is very tight and Lexus does this with all their vehicles so its harder to do. I ask because I've gotten a few quotes in the Queens/Long Island area of NYC and they all want an arm and a leg for the window trim so now I am looking at ways on how I can do it myself.

My buddy aka (Raysp3c) did my front grill chrome delete and window trim in black gloss. If I could redo it, I would have gone with satin black instead. Black gloss sounds nice but satin matches better with the oem trim, looks cleaner, and blends in with the trim better with more room for error. Imperfections are more noticeable with black gloss. Also, if you’re in the OC area I believe Templar Wraps offered me $180 for both trims and $250-$300 total for trim and grill chrome delete. I think I called around and they were the cheapest price, as always. Plus, their work is very good. Picture OVERLOAD BEWARE!!!

I agree with MJN88 on using the Black Satin. I saw a car with 3M Black Gloss and decided to have mine wrapped in the 3M black Satin and it makes all the difference. Blends in with the car and doesn't show flaws.

I have to disagree. Painting is actually the least durable. Especially over chrome. As it does not adhere very well, and chips easily regardless if sealer is used. The best option is to wrap the chrome. Respectfully pointing that out.

Wrapping the trim is definitely the way to go, especially on the lexus, due to the way the chrome and rubber are attached to each other on the window trim pieces. I have paint shops that would paint on all of the chrome pieces on a car, but would still contract me to come and specifically wrap the window trim pieces, because it just works out better than painting them would.
