Guess my sales guy wasn't exaggerating when he gave me a cost of 15K for the CF hood. Wow!!

I'm sure the Carbon Package doesn't cost $11k, so it makes you wonder how much the metal hood costs

The total carbon package is 21 lbs. lighter (hood, roof and spoiler) - standard hood costs $770.00. The hood is extremely well made. Reinforced CF ribs. Everything swaps over perfectly except the hood scoop is built in. There is just a bottom deflector part.

Very nice! I was going to ask how the fit is but it sounds like it is what you'd expect from Lexus. I also have one on order from my source in Japan, and it's only been a couple months, I think, since I ordered it.

You are going to love it - the weave is perfect.

OH MY GOD, that hood is looking sick. one question here, I don't remember RCF having this carbon fiber add-on located below the grill (not talking about the carbon fiber lip) as my frd's RCF doesn't come with that carbon fiber add-on. I know GSF has it, did you get the GSF one and fit it on your RCF?

I am not sure what his is but, two companies make an aftermarket piece. LEMS makes one which is a separate piece that attaches with two-sided tape. This is what I have and its a very nice piece and fits well. Grazio&Co also makes one that is a direct replacement. If I would have had a source for the Grazio piece I may have gotten that one but, I don't think it was available at the time I got mine.

Are your mirrors carbon too? If so, how/where did you source them? I had mine done and really happy but, it was a b**** with all the back and forth and wait time. I ordered the LEMS ones first and after waiting for those I find out that the JDM mirror housings were different from the USDM ones.

The bottom spindle is LEMS (I also wanted the Grazio). The mirrors are covers. They were given to me so I don't know the source.

Good to know, never know LEMS have that bottom CF add-on part available.
