He hasn't put E85 in due to the winter blend up here in Michigan. He expects to gain 120+whp on E85 over is his 93 tune. Even more torque. Not sure what he is making right now on 93 but it is a deceptively fast car.
I'm Sorry, But there Is NO WAY just a Tune is going to give ANY Car a Gain of 120+whp, NO WAY! Your Friend is going to be REALLY Disappointed! SMDH

I haven't heard of a tune alone giving that much HP gain but I do know that the VR30 engine has a TON of upside, what with the ECU cracked and twin turbo platform ready made for tuning. Also the fuel delivery system is a known limiting factor... Which he mentioned in his post, so with that plus tune, I believe him.

Yeah, I could've gotten the production 400HP Red Sport addition for another $8K+, but where's the fun in that?!

I'll start with the 300HP version, swap down pipes, larger intercooler, cat back, Stillen Air intake, upgraded fuel system and tune and be north of 400 HP and then some. It's a great platform. Reminds me of my son's FRS.

Like you said the important thing is that your son is ok after the crash in that Camaro. Camaro got one of the better crash ratings in all of the American made muscle cars ( the big three coming from Detroit).

See my post above.

Had the Camaro SS for about a year. Loved it!!!
My son was totaled it on the freeway late one night. Fortunately, and the most important thing is he's okay.

My experience was, at least in L.A., MANY guys out there wanting to RACE me driving the Camaro SS. It's like I had a "let's run it!" sign on the back/side.

I traded in the SS for a used Cadillac CTS (not the V).

Didn't like it.

So I'm taking delivery on my 4th car in as many years.

A 2017 INFINITI Q60.

Saw it at the L. A. Auto show a couple of weeks ago.

Beautiful car. The blue kinda reminds me of my Ultra SonicBlue RCF.

Anyway... Excited to get this one. I'll try this out. ECU unlocked so MANY after market items/tunes available.

One of these days I'll settle down with these cars, hopefully this one will be the one for a while!

Infiniti Q60

Camaro SS in the tow yard. All air bags deployed. Son is okay though, that's the important thing

No salvage here. Electronic suspension, etc. Messed up beyond all repair.

Tried the Caddy CTS. Same GM Alpha platform as the Camaro. But I got the V6 and not the BIG V8! That's what I miss the most about the RCF and SS... Nothing like big V8 power.

Nice lines on the Caddy!

Here's the latest. She arrives in two days! Infiniti Q60

Sorry for your loss on a car, just realized the dates and glad your son is okay!

Hopefully you can jump back into a Lexus if you get disappointed by the Q60. The RC350 F Sport Supercharged may suite your needs to stick with 1 car!
