best lowering spring for RCF
#16
I'm new here and am making my first post!
For all of those using lowering springs instead of coilovers, did you add a camber kit? I didn't see anyone mention the Tanabe NF210 as an option for lowering springs. I'm looking for a minimal drop and don't want to compromise ride quality that much, and it seems the Tanabe NF210 provides the lowest amount of drop (1.1" in the front and 0.6" in the rear). Anyone have experience with these on their RC-F? Also, did the drop affect the camber and put it out of the stock camber range?
I just can't stand how much space there in the wheel well with the front tires as compared to the rear tires. A 1.1" drop in the front with the 0.6" drop in the rear would be perfect for me, but I'm hesitant to do it without hearing other inputs.

Its really up to you what your looking for. If you want a little bit more comfortable ride then the TANABE might be a good option. But then again, you are driving a RC F im not sure if you want to sacrifice performance over comfort.
SWIFT spring rates are 9kg front and 16kg rear
Tanabe NF210 is 7.5kg front and 12.4kg rear.
Also if you have tanabe will give you a slight Rake look over the swift which to me looks dead even.
Hope that helps
Lou

It looks like there's an error on the ModInJapan website. On the site for the Swift Spec-R (http://www.modinjapan.com/swift-spec...exus-rc-f.html) springs for the RC-F, it shows a picture of the RC350 and shows the front drop is 1.5" and rear drop is 0.9" (spring rates of 5.6kg for the front and 11kg for the rear). So it looks like you guys are showing the wrong picture and RC350 spring specs instead of the RC-F spring specs.

Thanks. No bottoming out nor issues, even at the track.

My best advice is stay stock until you can get a proper set of adjustables already mentioned here with the FIGS lowering kit.
Else, it's pretty ghetto, imho. If you have a '17, you're stuck. Can't stand adaptive suspensions.

How much space (in inches) do you have between the top of the tires and the lip of the wheel well? Could you take a close-up pick of the front and rear tires?

Thanks for the advice, I do understand what you are saying. The issue is not that I can or can not get "adjustables", I certainly can get them, but I want lowering spring, I guess it may be the "ghetto" blood running in my body. Just mho

Probably old news, but i ran a set of Swift lowering springs.. They were about $300 on ebay and i had a 100$ paypal credit so i bought them for ****s and giggles... (i know our cars don't really ever have cheap parts) After i installed the front i really liked the look with stock rears and swift fronts.. I ran that for about a year until a fully adjustable set of RS-R sport coilovers fell into my lap. Now im low and mean, only drag on tall speedbumps or steep grade parking lot entrys.
Having a 30 way adjustable damper is so nice, you can ride like a Cadillac, ride like a sport car, or ride like a go cart.
