How long did it take you to apply it? Also by prep do you mean the paint correction before applying?

I figure it was a good 30 hours from start to finish. The longest parts were the polishing and actually applying the coating. It took me about 5 hours to apply the coating. But it was my first time.

Here's what I did, in order:
Wash the car
Carpro Iron-X
Rinse and dry
Clay bar (Meguires)
Polish (Carpro Essence /w random orbital polisher)
Carpro Eraser (twice)
Carpro CQuartz
Carpro Reload

I now know why my detailer wants like $600 to do this and why he needs to keep my car for 2 days.

I would shop around. I know there has to be a ton of detailers in FL. $3k is absurd... The detailer I mentioned is in NC where I am contracting. I don't have time to detail my own car while on a contract.

I've never used a detailer in FL since when I am at home I have time to do it myself. I don't know the exact cost I paid for everything to do it myself, but I am sure that it was under $150 to buy everything I listed. I set aside 3 days this week because I had to be home to take delivery of my new wheels. So I decided to do this while I had the time.
