I think the financially sound decision when it comes to modding is to buy something already modded. If someone dumped $20k into a car that normally sells for 20-30K stock, they won't be seeing much of their mod money back. My last car had 10-15K worth of mods into it, I bought it for nearly nothing over average selling price!

Yah, I know. I'm selling the G35 and whoever buys it is getting one hell of a deal

Another thing that I think was on my subconscious was that Lexus is putting a ton of effort into becoming a "cool" brand. In 20 years, when the F series has the same stigma as the M series does right now, I can tell my kids "I had one of the first model years of the RC F", haha

Its a good car. The back seat is much roomier than wife's Macan. It will haul *** and handles very well with the competition Package. I would still be very tempted and might even take the RCF back over it. Not sure. Wife was asking me the other day and my response was I was too far removed from the RCF to make a fair comparison. The RCF is a great and super underrated car for its price.

i think the key phrase is "for its price"

would you pick the rcf RCF if it cost the same premium as the m3?

To be Honest i'd never even heard of much less seen an RCF! Me & my wife went to pick up her new LS460 & the Blue Mica (which is the exact color I've been wanting in a car for awhile) was sitting on the showroom floor & I actually told my wife why don't you get this one, but she wasn't really into it as much as the Luxury LS460. She made the comment WHY don't you get it, I said NO it's not really feasible, I've already got 3 other vehicles but needless to say they pulled it out & said DRIVE IT! Well, after that & Really Loving the look (interior & exterior) & also knowing about the LEXUS Brand, the rest is kind of History. Though I've had it for 2 yrs. now & still don't even have 4k miles on it, I LOVE it & like Doug said it's hard to find a car in this $$$ range that offers Everything the RCF does!

That's a tough question. I bought an RC-F because of how quick it hit the 50s mark which is what I set the limit to on a car budget. Would I pay the $78k it MSRP'd at? Not at all but I still see it as a $70k car and with the car that I got, 50-60k is a GREAT value for it and I still can't believe the car you get for that money.

Would I have the same satisfaction paying low 60s for a decently equipped M3? I think I'd feel as if I'm paying for a premium and the cost wouldn't justify the value of sitting in one compared to the amenities a loaded RC-F has. A sale happens when the value climbs over the cost and it was true in the case of the RC-F.

I had a green light to purchase either an M4 or the RCF as my next toy. I chose the RCF!!!!

I chose the RCF because it is RARE, Toyota Reliability, DIFFERENT, and most importantly... Because it "IS" DIFFERENT...😊

I was in the same boat as kaimikazee and was a previous M3 owner but after taking a hard look at the new M and Alfa Romeo I felt like the euro brands were copying one an other with not much design effort. My RC F had me at first look, feel, and drive. Hands down one of the best performance cars I have ever owned (previous cars 2004 STI, 2006 M3, 2006 S2000).

I view them to be comparably priced. If both cars costs exactly the same, tough call. I really liked the Molten Pearl. I dunno.
