agree with you on this! The TVD RCF is only 41 lbs heavier than Torsen RCF. The TVD does weigh 65lbs more than Torsen, but the TVD car gets CF roof and rear wing and brings the difference to 41 lbs. An RCF with Torsen and CF bits would be the lightest yet. Have they separated the CF from performance package for 2017?
Don't forget, the CF + TVD package gets you a slightly lower center of gravity, plus your trunk pops up by itself with the remote. If you don't have the CF wing, the trunk unlocks, but sits there... big hassle to have to open it by hand!

No, you could have bought the TVD by itself on early 2015s, but now they're combined.
Don't forget, the CF + TVD package gets you a slightly lower center of gravity, plus your trunk pops up by itself with the remote. If you don't have the CF wing, the trunk unlocks, but sits there... big hassle to have to open it by hand!

My trunk opens by itself, also the carbon roof is a cover over the existing roof. I removed the weather striping on the roof while the dealer wasn't looking, but you do save the weight of no sunroof.
One thing y'all aren't taking into consideration is drivetrain loss, does the tvd equate to more parasitic loss? Also is any of additional tvd weight rotating mass? If so that makes a greater impact.
