Default Front Brake pads

Got 38k (km) on my 2015 RCF.
Surprised to find front brake pads cost $500 (Canadian) straight from dealer.

Is everyone paying a similar amount? Sounds a little excessive to me. Any other decent options? (located in Toronto, Canada)

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for your quick response. 360 USD works out to about 485 Canadian so it's close to what I paid. I guess that's fairly standard pricing then. Just caught me off guard.

Take a look at forum sponsor SpeedFreaks:

http://speedfreaksusa.com/search.html?q=lexus+rcf

There is a CL discount.

Not familiar with the product but what's difference between the two sets? Read description, both for street.

^^^^AFAIK, it's the same product. Don't know why they list it twice Give them a call Project Mu (PM) makes quality pads. Look over in the ISF forum and you'll read a lot about them and about SpeedFreaks.

Thanks for pointing these out, Lou! They are technically the same pad (same exact pad compound but assembled in different factories) Basically the Type NS can be ordered in single batches whereas the NS400 can only be ordered in large batch orders. We've had an order in for the NS400 since the end of October 2016 and we are getting close to delivery. We put both up because we are able to get sets of the Type NS much more quickly and had a few people order the Type NS already because they couldn't wait for the large batch to arrive. However once the NS400 show up there will be no reason to spend the extra money for the Type NS since they are the same product but one is less expensive.
