Her GS F is Atomic Silver...

I'm told that Caviar is easier to keep looking good than Obsidian because it contains metal flake:

Both blacks are options on the LC. Actually Caviar was my third choice behind Nightfall Mica and Smoky Granite Mica.

exactly this. I have had black and it looks incredible when clean (have to dust it to avoid the constant washing) but the upkeep is never ending. My blue RCF is not far behind and only really looks good clean to me. My daily honda is silver, can I tell you that it is almost never washed and looks just fine. It's maintained by nature (rain)

Going to a Lexus driving school next month to try out a LC-500. If, (in my opinion), it performs better than my RCF, then I will look for a used one.

Objectively, the 350 lbs weight difference is a factor here. You get more luxury, tech and amenities with the LC500, though.

^^^^That LC is a strange bird, and at a serious disadvantage. It was equipped with the sport package seats, but had the base 20" (8½" 9½") cast wheels. The tires mounted on those wheels are (245/45 & 275/40) RFT all season. The RC F is running 19" forged wheels (9" & 10") max performance summer tires (255/35 & 275/35).

No way was that close to being fair. Why Lexus chose to hobble the 20" wheels with such non-performance tires is beyond me

That was just an example. There were other cases like with Christian Menzel with the 21 inch wheels. Don't get me wrong. The LC platform has its own advantages. It is more modern architecture and chassis is stiffer than even the LFA's chassis, but there is definitely that 350lbs difference that is a factor.

I love the look of the LC, seriously thought about one.....the RCF at least has semi useable back seats. The LC - forget it.

I needed a car that I can take the family out - the LC just didn't check that box. But a great looking (and sounding) machine. The RCF should have came stock with that LC exhaust note.

SavageGeese seemed to give the RC-F a more favorable review than the LC.

^^^^Actually Not True. I watched the whole 44 mins. of the video. If you don't want to spend the time go to 36 mins and watch to 38 mins. They compare the LC with the RCF and GSF. In short the narrator was very positive and enthusiastic about the LC.

everyone protects their viewpoint to justify their purchase. Two different cars imho. Why can't they both be good for their intent?

I watched the entire video for both....... The RC-F was given mainly praise while the LC review seemed to be more mixed. Maybe they were being more critical of the LC due to its 6 figure sticker, I don't know. Still, if they were more similar in price I would go LC every time. That exterior and interior are both awesome.
