2017 rc-f lease deal good?
#16
In my opinion two important things to consider:
1. Lease is good if you have a legit business that you can expense the lease payment through. Even with a legit business, you may not come out ahead. It all depends on the circumstances. I see leasing as a more convienece thing vs buying.
2. You don't want to have to deal with the headaches of selling or trading the car later on. This is purely for the lazy person's convienece. Just turn the old car in at the end of the lease and sign up for another new lease. Just pay and go. I guess if you are truly making the big bucks (on the same league as Trump, Buffet, Gates, and etc.), then it may not worth the time to deal with the old car as in selling it or trade it in. Or if you are like the Apple co-founder who had a brand new leased MB SL hardtop convertible every 6 months (he cruised around just in time for the DMV in CA catches up to issue a metal License plate, he turns it in and got a new MB SL!!) He did it so he never got a permanent metal License plate (always had the harder to trace temp. paper plate). So, if you are one of the "celebrities", then this is the way to do it.
I guess the #3 reason is if you JUST HAVE TO GET A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE CAR THAN YOU OTHERWISE CAN AFFORD (BY BUYING), LEASING Payments are a lot less monthly vs buying with financing. But this is only in short term for the lease. Because in the long run, you more than likely will come out ahead if just buy it instead of leasing (unless expense it via a legit business. But not always).

Any recent 2017 RC-F leases? I have a friend telling me he is quoted on a 36 month lease for 10k miles/ year at $529/mo with only inceptions due at signing. Claims the vehicle MSRP is $76k. I am trying to convince him it must not be for a RC-F, maybe a RC350, but he insists its the truth. Does it sound right to you guys? Sounds fishy?

Your friend is full of sh.... if that were true, it would be the absolute best deal you could ever get. Lexus at this point would be losing so much money that whoever made that deal would get fired, most likely. You'd only pay ~$19k over the lease period which would leave the residual value insane high. I pay $799 with taxes and everything and gave $3000 which included the first payment, tag/registration, and fees so I probably really put down $1500-2000 at most? I don't think it was the best deal ever but I'm happy with it and I might even buy it at the end (cause I really like it, but I always end up changing cause I like the newer model that comes out later lol), $29k is my buyout price
I called it BS too, I wanted to make sure I wasn't losing my mind, I agree with you guys.

Yeah he probably doesn't know much about the F or F-sport. They probably offered him and F-sport for that price and then he went online to look up the car, saw the RC-F price and is thinking this is the same car they offered him
