After looking at the Nuremberg test mule very carefully I think we are seeing the 10th anniversary edtion. How many lbs could they lose using carbon fiber hood, roof, trunk lid (no active wing per photos), lower side pieces, rear diffusser and titanium exhaust? Maybe 300? I think I want one!

The other thing bugging me is why didn't they continue the blue in the backseats? Maybe I am just more OCD as I get older...haha.

And why did they do it differently for the GSF for the back seat...and the RCF gets more CF than the GSF? The GSF isn't light at all so it needs all the help it can get as well. Just weird.

Only 240 10th anniversary RC Fs will be built, corresponding to the current number of U.S. Lexus dealers, while the 10th anniversary GS F is limited to just 100 units. Both special editions will be arriving at dealerships this summer.

Being that these cars are "slow sellers" comparatively, I wonder what the "premium" will be over standard ones.....given the rarity though, it makes me wonder how these will sell......

"Low power specs..." And this is what we've come to. Yep. That simple statement reflects the escalating power wars going on that make 467hp/389 lb-ft seem paltry. In 1984 we saw the release of the limited production (272) Ferrari 288 GTO. It's low curb weight aside, the twin turbo V8 pushed out what was then an astonishing 400 hp! Today the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 matches the Ferrari GTO's hp output with a twin turbo V6. Again, huge weight difference but in terms of power output we've become a bit jaded because of the big #s thrown out by the likes of the new ZR1, Hellcats, ZL1 and the 2019 Shelby GT500. I transitioned out of a 600 hp Grand Sport vette into the RC F and yes, it's heavy, and yes - a bit more hp (say 500) and a LOT more torque would offset the weight handicap, The AMG C63S is close in weight to our car but it's 503hp/516 lb-ft help you forget that car's weight. My initial plan had been to hold out for the 2018 RC F to see if it bumped up in power and down in weight but decided to pull the trigger on a late '17' model and embrace the RC F for what it is: a superb grand tourer with plenty of giddyup for DD duties and the occasional burning of a Mustang or tuner boy.
