I am not finding a Price Paid RC F thread right now so I will just throw this out there.

I am getting offered a new 2017 with everything except the Performance Package (76-77k MSRP) for 66-67k after the 7k cash. Is this comparable with the deals others are seeing right now?

My 2 cents.
I purchased a new 17 in March and paid $65k for one without the performance package.
Mind you this is all without that 7k cash deal and when they were priced harder since it was early in the year.
They also flew me out to their dealership.

If you're buying now, especially before the 31st, negotiate hard.
The taxes they pay per car on the lot after the 31st should be calculated and added into your negotiation prep.
I would assume you could get as low as $60k.

Yes, but I think the supply and demand curves had crossed in BOTH new and used RCF market. It used to be one can get a well optioned USED RCF at an incredible price. I got mine CPO from a major Lexus DEALERSHIP with some 18xx miles on the odo.

I'm sure deals are still out there.....you just need to look around. TODAY IS DECEMBER 31!!!! Especially in the northern snow states. Who is really gonna buy a high performance rear wheel drive car in a snow storm??? My prior sport car (MB SLK55 AMG HARDTOP CONVERTIBLE) was bought in January several years ago during a snow storm in Chicago!! There were absolutely NO CUSTOMERS looking for a car like that!! All were looking at some MB 4MATICS😀😀😀😁. So I gave them my price and TOLD THEM I was WILLING AND ABLE TO BUY RIGHT NOW ON THIS ONE!!!

and keep yourself open to a suuper low mile 15 or 16, especially a Lexus Certified. Could save a bunch and avoid the electronic suspension and tune (upgrade) prevention

Are they really depreciating that quickly? I figured with everything going Turbo these would hold up ? Could be completely wrong.

trade in value right now is the high 30s, low 40s on a 2015, a car that had an MSRP north of $80K. several 2015s on dealer lots in CA for $43K - $46k with under 20K on the odo.

I've been looking into trading mine, but the highest offer I have received is $10K below what I am willing to accept, so I'll just keep it. I love the car, but I have an injury from a motorcycle accident that causes me some distress when I drive it for extended periods, something I do not experience in my wife's Camry or in my Truck. Sadly I think I am going to have to resign myself into getting an old man car that has soft seats and suspension.

I have noticed this car is super stiff when in sport mode. Wish I saw those with less than 20K miles for 43K, probably would have just bought instead of leased my new one. Just love that new car smell I guess.

I prefer the stiff suspension, not a fan of body roll when cornering, or the bounce effect when driving over the crap roads in L.A. I prefer the one bounce and back online feeling. but I don't think my body can handle it any more. The pain it causes is getting to the point where I actually prefer to drive my wife's car for anything longer than 30 miles..

What was your main reason for selling and getting a newer one? I didn't think anything had changed. That is pretty spot on to what I just paid.

I had negative equity on my 15 so put some cash down and leased the 17 for 36 months

Amazing a Lexus can depreciate 50% of MSRP in just 2 years. I've been looking at a new 2016 RCF listed at $76k, which the dealer offered at $55k. If I were to purchase it would probably drop another $15k as soon as I drive it off the lot. I may hold out for a used one as I've seen some listed in the high $30s.

It seems that L certified RCF with under 30k miles are selling for under $45k at the dealership, which mean they probably bought it for under $40k. My IS is the same way for the first 2-3 years.

Where are you seeing high $30k for the RCF? Do you guys think it will go even lower?
