As promised here’s a side shot. As you can see the piece covers the side of the silver trim so it can’t be seen.

I have one also. If there is a downside it is that it only covers the bottom, you will still see the silver plastic in the gap on the sides of the air bag cover and above it. I still like it though.

Looks great! Any tricks to the install? Have to remove anything or just slap it on?

thank you for the pic. to the other members for their future installs with this, i was told this piece scratches and scuffs your original silver trim underneath so take caution before installing.

Not really sure how it could scratch the panel beneath. There's a fair amount of 3M double sided adhesive beneath which should be enough of a barrier. I also have carbon fiber mirror caps and can report no scratches on the mirror itself when I went in and replaced some of the adhesive.

I've considered this piece too but was worried that the top still remaining silver would bother me; does the side panel pieces remove easily (where the phone and menu directions are) as I thought about simply wrapping it in CF Vinyl (5D or 6D as its pretty closely resembles real).

Worried that it would clash a little, fake CF and real CF in the interior but weighing on what would bother me more : the top silver still showing or CF wrap on the interior?

Thoughts?

I got this too. I think I got it from Amazon. It looks pretty good and good cheap interior mod.

yea silver part was showing at the top and gap so I wrapped those silver part with gloss black vinyl when I was installing Tom's steering wheel. I think it looks lot better than silver.
