Default Tire size opinion.

Working with Josh and order some wheels with his help. Decided on 20x10+25 front and 20x11+28 rear. Looking for opinion on the front tire sizing. I was thinking 275 30 20 but not sure if that would rub. For the rear I thinking 295 30 20. Currently front is a 255 on stock 9" wheel and with the new 10" new wheel I don't want the "stretch" look.

I think that's kinda aggressive offset for RC F. ppl already rub(very minor tho) on 9.5 / 10.5 +25 all around with 255 / 285 combo (lowered). I think u have to stretch little bit.

I agree .Fronts will rub with that offset and tire width combo assuming car will be lowered a little too, right?

I'll be lowered om swift as well, looking for most aggressive setup without rub. I'm sticking with 19s though..

Sounds like my best option is going to be 255 30 20 for the front to minimize rubbing

Is it really a difference between a 35 series or 30 sidewall? Would mint more fusion be a better ride?

Default No Stretching For Me!

I'm super paranoid about rubbing too, hence why I went w 20s in 9 and 10 instead. I'm all about stuff w "Guaranteed" fitment. It's the waiting that's gonna drive me insane!

^^^Agreed.
+30 fronts will be a much safer bet to be trouble free plus get the straight side wall look.
Personally, a 255 on a 10” rim is a shame. 275 gives more beefy look.
I have 255 on my street rims and definitely stretched. New tires will not be 255...
The 275 on my track wheels look so much tougher, more meaty with square side walls.

If you’re not slammed, 275/35 will even clear (with +35, not sure about +25).
I know for a fact since I’ve ran those on my track wheels. They did scrub ever so lightly at deepest compression at high speeds but im
talking barely.
Car is measuring at 26” from fender to ground. Think your swift drop will be about the same.

i also like that sidewalk look , so having a 35 series on a 20x9 and 20x10 rear will give that beefy look?

^^^
Depends on the width of the tire.
Of course running a wide tire will give a taller side wall—based on 30/35 side wall ratio.

i was merely saying a 255 tire on a 10” rim is not a good fit in my opinion. The side walls will be stretched due to the tire being too narrow. But if rim offset is too much, then there’s really no option but to stretch unless the car isn’t lowered and have plenty of clearance.
