Default Used RC-F w/ An Accident

Looking to move on out of my 2008 IS-250 (Manual!) I'm looking at a couple of RC-F's -- but apparently there's a lot of them with some accident history.
I definitely will be buying used to avoid depreciation-- and want to stay under 30K miles. I'm just wonder what are your sentiments on used vehicles, particularly at this price point with a single accident. Most people would say just spend the extra 4 or 5 grand-- but I think I can get even better deal on a couple of cars under $40K.

I bought my IS250 with an accident on it at 35K miles and it now has 125K miles on it and hasn't had a single issues. Obviously every case is different, but Lexus vehicles could differentiate compared to others?

You dont need to review the vehicles but if you liked to, These are the two if you would like to see:

Vehicle 1:

Heres it's CarFax:

Vehicle 2:
I would have this one shipped from Louisiana-- apparently this accident was caused by the deal (demo), damage to roof and rear-- and repaired by Lexus of Tampa Bay.

Thanks!

Coming from someone who inspects cars, I would just wait for one that is clean. Vehicle 1 most likely has frame damage and vehicle 2 some auctions will call frame on roof damage.

Plus if you ever decide to sell later it will be that much harder with the accident history.

I wouldn’t buy from Off lease only. I’ve heard a lot of bad stories and almost all of their vehicles has been in pretty bad accidents.

I've heard the same. There is a reason they have some of the lowest priced cars in the country!

i don't know about you guys but the hardest thing about having an accident on the car, you knowing its not 100 percent perfect or sound. that would bug me enough. even if the car drove fine. and like Pheen said, its not worth as much and harder to sell later. just too many cons.

I couldn't agree more. Also, just because it is riding okay now after an accident, doesn't mean that it will still be okay down the road. Accident could knock something out of whack or off a degree which could cause delayed issues.

Yes, you get what you LY for, but if you are willing to deal with the issues to fix them and make it right, then it be more ownership on your part
