2015 rcf
Help please. I have purchased a 2015 l certified 1 owner 5 K miles rcf with performance package - Just love it but here is the issue that I would need your advise : turning the car at full right or left until the steering wheel locks (like pulling out of the garage and turning on to the road at very slow speed ) I feel front wheel slight scrub that can be felt in the steering wheel no noises though. Took it to local Toyota dealer as Lexus dealership is 100 miles away. Toyota dealership checked the alignment and said no problem with that but being a performance car that is a common issue. Really? Any help or insight would be much appreciated before I make (or not make) 200 miles round trip to the Lexus dealership! Thank you in advance

I think you mean, the tires "stutter" on full lock left or right. Yes, that is absolutely normal.
Why it happens? Well, at slow speeds to give the minimum possible turning radius on full lock, the VGRS allows the wheels to turn in very tightly with also the wheels titling in the direction of the turn. That makes the contact patch reduced drastically as the wheels are tilted when turning in so tightly. With reduced contact patch, it simply does not have the grip to turn without fighting for traction. That makes the tires give that scraping noise.

I noticed your located in Wisconsin. What temperature is this happening? If below about 40F I suspect its the tires if you have the factory Pilot Supersports. The tread compound hardens when its colder outside and when you make a slow sharp turn often times you will feel the tires shudder.

I am close to Minnesota borders in Wisconsin and the weather is finally getting above 40s in the day time. I’ll keep an eye on what you said and will report back.
On an entirely separate note - as I was looking/searching for answers, I started looking into TSBs. Looking for TSBs through NHTSA site used to be easy few years ago but not anymore so I finally came across another site (after spending quite a bit of time, like spending 15-20 minutes for several days) and printed them all (until November 2017 that was available on the site) which is about 10 pages, I am not sure but open for any advise if I should scan these TSBs in a pdf format and then make it available on this site with the intent to help anyone interested in it?

You do know they had a recall on the fuel pumps on these cars don't you, if not you need to check with your dealership & see if it pertains to your particular car.
