Default NOVEL Widebody RC F First Look

The NOVEL Racing Japan RC F gets fitted with their fully functional wide body kit. This kit was computer designed and tested through computer generated wind simulations for a combination of style and functionality. With the 24 Hours of Nürburgring next week, this progresses this project into real world testing and fine tuning after they get their real world testing data. We'll keep you updated as more photos and data is released!

Is this going to be a retail thing? Or just for their race cars ?

Its all a matter of opinion. Would never want that front end on any car, let alone my RCF!

If ever going w those fender well lip extenders - its CF all the way around for me - Lip too!!

I think this is a form vs function issue.
That front lip/splitter is the first one I've seen for the RC-F that will actually downforce the entire front end down at high speeds.
It's actually mounted to the chassis and not the bumper cover.
For a legitimate racecar, those vents will actually benefit them a significant amount.
Looking forward to seeing novel's results.

There are plans for retail, but how the kit looks like in its final form will really depend on how they do at Nürburgring. Anything NOVEL does they do very very extensively from prototyping to full development. From what I heard from them, they are going to collect data and see the responsiveness of their current design. Even though it was developed and tested with computer generated simulations and modeling they will want the data from a real world motorsports environment before they fully commit to the final design. So after 24 Hours at Nürburgring there may or may not be revisions to the design, but we will definitely keep you in the loop on this one.
