gas mileage after recall
#2
Only drove it about 40 - 45 KM since the recall last friday. Filled up the car with Octane 94 right after the recall work was completed so the 40 - 45 km is after the fill up. Gauge bar is still very much close to full and has not dropped yet. I would it looks to be similar or better than it was before the recall work.

Hand Calculations?
Since I'm doing a 5hr trip today I'll fill up and do a Hand Calc just to see. This will be my first long drive in it since putting new Wheels & Tires on, so a bit nervous. Driving down to VIR to watch MotoAmerica Superbike races, and see some Kawis get romped on by the R1 - And Yosh Suzuki too!
**BTW- Forgive my memory but wont my larger wheels minutely effect Mpg as well? (I absolutely know Rolla can answer this one fo sure!) 😎

Yeah I've noticed the same thing. My car had been showing around 17-18 mpg each trip. Now it's around 13. I'm driving way more conservative also.

Good Times!
Not to come off as conceited, but I know all these guys pretty well on first name basis and all. Used to hang w both Danny Eslick and the Late Dane Westby out in OK. Huge loss to the world when Dane was killed on his streetbike near a place I used to have lunch! This is Josh Hayes first year NOT racing - but the Team did him a solid by keeping him on to Coach these young kids. All a great group but Im seeing the good ol guys slowly fade.
Since this is your thread I'll ask first before posting some pics here? Meanwhile, Im about to leave now for the 4-5 hr rive. The first ride was 4 hours from NYC to DC Area when I purchased it at Brooklyn Lexus!

Definitely noticing that idling seems to burn way more now. Freeway, canyon etc seems to be similar. City driving noticeable hit.

Mine has been about the same. At first it seemed a bit lower, but I contribute that to them discounting my battery during the change. Afterwards I did two 40 mile freeway stints and I was getting the same mpg as before, close to 27 mpg average highway only.

Team Yamaha
What an awesome 4 hr drive yesterday. I was totally blown away when I twisted it into Sport+ and floored it while at 65mph. Next thing I knew it was hitting the Rev Limiter and I saw 110mph on dash - seemed instant too!
Damn I love this RCF ! 😎

Had my recall done about a month ago. Just today came back from a 120 mile drive through Oklahoma and Texas, 90% freeway going mostly 75-85 mph.. Lexus trip computer put mpg for trip average at 23.2. Had it on economy mode all the way.

As I remembered BEFORE I had the ECU reflash about a year and half ago, I got around 27 mpg on eco cruising at around 75mph. After I got the reflash, I got around 25mpg.
I'm going to get the feul pump recall done soon and will see if there is any additional mpg drop.
I'm not complaining about the mpg at all bc when I bought the RCF I knew it's not gonna get the mpg like in any of my other cars, the CT200h/RX450h which gets around 45mpg/28mpg in SoCal stop and go traffic. The RCF is still better than my LX570 which gets 13/19 (city mpg/highway mpg).
