Default Please assist on rear brake question

gentlemen I just bought a used 2016 F and the rear pads are about gone. Lexus wants $600.00 !! For rear pads because they come with sensors.. I have no sensor light on on the dash...so I don’t need new sensors... but the “kit” comes with them What have you all used instead for aftermarket rear pads. I don’t track the car so I won’t need high performance pads...airlaird

for daily pads with lower dust you can get the powerstop pads from rockauto or Hawk performance ceramic pads. I have the powerstops on the stang and Hawk PC on viper, very little dust

Curious, how many miles do you have? I assume the fronts have already been changed out?

I have 25,000 miles on it...the fronts are in good shape..very odd....but the rears no...maybe he already did the fronts and did not bother on the rears because he was selling.
And actually Mister Eun...the search function in not friendly to the question. I am asking for opinions for daily pads...a search only brought up pads for track use.
Understand if the SEARCH function was used on every question...there would be no forum...
here endeth the lesson..;-)

at least your not paying $1000 for new pads on the front axle I recommend you go to a Lexus garage that is third party and get your brakes there it will save you maybe like $150-$200 BECAUSE if the sensor is NOT broken then you dont need to buy a new one and they can just use the old one AGAIN because thats what happened to me and it saved me some money!!!

I swear people are becoming dumber or lazier.
Redirect your time/energy used for sarcasm to actually putting in the effort and looking for answers that already exist in the forum.

Literally took me 2 minutes to comb through the first 2 of 9 pages in the search result.

If the search function was actually utilized the way it should, there wouldn't be so many replicated threads and maybe even an organized forum where answers could easily be found.
Go teach your lesson somewhere else.

Just FYI - I switched to CarboTech pads at probably 5K miles because of the dust issue with the OEM brembo pads. I'm at about 54K now, the CarboTechs still a lot of wear left. I am not hard on brakes and driving in S+ mode and often manual mode provides engine braking. I can see that if you drive in normal or ECO mode you are going to be on the brakes a lot more because the car won't down shift much. As far as the rears being so worn - maybe the previous owner like to power brake for massive burnouts. What were the rear tires like?

All the tires are new...so its very hard to determine what he did. I know the had the Tire package" he bought from Lexus so apparently he had new tires all around.
I gotta say.....this car had $5,000.00 of add ons. A carbon Steering wheel, Dash and door sills, CF diffuser, Apexi exhaust and new tires...with 25,000 miles for $48,000...well, putting on new pads is really incidental...;-)
