Cool video. I love my RCF but I have been really thinking hard about buying an ISF lately. I think it would be cool to have both! I think I could budget an ISF in a year or so.

You can pick up a 2008 - 2010 ISF for fairly decent price of under $25K.

LOL. 2000, 2001 were two of the best years for the Celica GTS with lift engagement at 6200 rpm. Yeah, still got the 2ZZ. It was my first car and my next leap was all the way to an RCF. Old and high mileage now, but still going quite strong. Bought it back in 2004 when they were new and I graduated from University. Modded it quite a lot back in the days. Now, I am just treating it as a daily driver and barely ever hit lift. Any new mods going forward, will be on the RCF.

Agree with you Jz39 looks like dead even race at end. Maybe car or less I don't understand why would someone post up video of such close race with out showing very end of race or time slips or even saying what times were for both cars.? I've always said these two cars are very close and biggest and most important mod is driver. Good race by both cars very close.

This is first of last last 3 frames onf video. RCF looks took to be head by half car maybe slightly more.

In this very last frame of the video it looks like the ISF now is pretty much side by side with RCF. Based on items in foreground of the picture such as the lane indicators etc. RCF could still have won the race but it would have been damn close like a fender or maybe a bumper hard to tell from this angle. Trap lights have not gone off so hard to tell. Great race by both cars.

Lift hit right at 6k on 00-01. 02' had fuel cut at 7800 and I believe 03+ had 6200+ rpm lift engagement .I had two Celica gts, a 00 and an 01. I loved those cars. Also had a 00 MR2 Spyder with a 2zz/c60 swap. That was a fun car!

Yeah MRS with 2ZZ/C60 was the perfect combination. Should have been from the factory.

Yes,

It should have! The s2k came out right around then and it just was a better overall package but the engine was perfect for the chassis. Just how the 2zz felt right at home in MR-S

Yeah, it would have been Toyota's own version of Lotus Elise.
