Default Carlos Lago (Edmunds) Reviews 2018 RCF

He did the head to head with the M4 back during his MotorTrend days. Here's a revisit. Sounds mostly the same overall, but he does acknowledges the real world utility of this car and doesn't hammer the performance of the car too much, although he mentions it a couple times. Overall good review.

Much better review than the first time around. Adding grip is easy to do by swapping out those touring version of MPSS tires. Even the first time, they were critical of the weight, but they only had a 3/10th gap between the M4 and RCF.

p.s. Styling is one of the strongest points of this car, which is why it gets so much attention. Not sure why critics keep mentioning it as a negative.

Exactly, while BMW looks like the rest of the line. Keep on mentioning the weight as an issue as well with LC. But there's cars I've seen them review that are heavier but never mention as an issue. some companies get a pass and once one "journalist" mentions it becomes hysteria and everyone repeats it. I wonder if the solidness makes you feel that it's heavy or at least more apparent.

Yeah, extra weight came from the ISC middle section of the chassis to get extra chassis rigidity. So, yes the "solidness" is intrinsically linked to the heaviness.
