Well, tried to make it clear I wasnt slamming this intake, or ENTIRE Carbon setup whatsoever. I even sent a PM (assuming DM is the same thing, but never seen that one) but never the less it fell on deaf ears. Whatever.

So I got a CEL that came on the other day, that made my pre collision, CEL, and trac light to turn on . I took it to Newport Lexus to get it cleared and to find out what was going on so I figured I mind as well get my fuel pumps done. I was worried that the tech wouldn't take care of it since I got a crap ton of carbon to remove in order to get to the pumps and battery. Spoke to the master tech (Fernando) and he said that the carbon wouldn't be an issue and he'll find out what the CEL is all about. So today I picked it up and Fernando told me that the air flow sensors picked up that the engine was running lean from too much air being pushed into the engine. Now I need to contact RR racing and see if they can flash my ECU once I install my EL PPE headers and exhaust! This should be fun! Looks like the intake is doing what it's supposed to!

^^^^^IMHO, anyone with an "F" car, especially a modded one, should own an OBD tool. That way they can check the code themselves, and do their own research rather than relying on someone else to make the call. You can also turn off the code should one appear. This way when a third party mechanic makes the call, you can have the knowledge to either agree with him, or give him your opinion.
Ik own two OBD tools. A conventional hand held one, and a wireless one that connects to my phone via Bluetooth. The wireless one stays plugged in all the time, and when I drive I put my phone in it's holder and I have a bunch of gauges looking back at me.

I haven't had an issue yet with mine.....Im with FLOWRIDER and I have 2 OBDII tools as well. I have the AEM gauge that stays plugged in to my OBDII port that can clear codes, and then I have my Craftsman DTC scanning tool that can show me real time analytics.

Thanks! These work for the RCF? Some OBD scanners are outdated and will not work with my F like the most expensive scanner autozone sold. I have a ‘16 RCF, in case it mattered

This intake is very different from an "intake tube" though. Mine has the RR racing intake tube, plus the password intake which actually has an enclosed system. This one has two access points of cold air, one from underneath the front bumper inlet, and the snorkel. Only a dyno will be the true factor in this matter but I can say with confidence that I notice an increase in power. I don't know why everyone is so quick to shut it down without gathering more info first. This is the only intake by password ever made, and Its different from the takeda intake since the takeda it uses half of the stock box with the flipping door. The password intake replaces the whole system. Why can't we all just be happy that there is something new on the market for our car that can possibly make good gains, so why shut it down like it's already a failure? I failed to do a dyno before I got the intake but I am currently running this intake alone, so there should be some data on a stock RCF dyno somewhere. Even if i'm wrong about the big gains...this intake looks cool as hell...so I don't really care. Either way, it's a win for me! Carbon goodness will never upset me!
