Default iPod playing slow in RCF

I have a 2017 RCF and periodically when I start the car, the iPod will play at about 90% of normal playback speed. Once I reboot the iPod, it will function properly. This is happening with multiple iPods and I do not have this issue with any of my other cars using the same iPods. I am connecting all of them through a USB port so I can control it through the radio interface.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's a radio software issue, particularly if your iPod is older than an iPhone 5S. The play/pause/skip functions don't really follow Apple mFI standards anyway which results in erratic behavior. You're not supposed to send random "Play" commands when adjusting the volume, nor are you supposed to repeatedly engage the media interface when the iDevice is being manipulated. This causes the additional annoyance of Spotify/Pandora/iPod being re-started if you're doing something in another app, like Facebook or Youtube videos.
