NOT a Z06 but it must have been modified. I raced a IS350 with headers, exhaust and I know what a 100hp difference feels like. We didnt launch it was rolling. He had 300hp on me easy.
I didnt want to follow him home to ask.
I ran a supercharged mustang with 600 WHP according to the guy and he was a little faster. The C7 was a different world

Good lord. He pulled out all the stops with the Vette.

My GF just looks over and laughs when the racers pull up to my rcf; I will say that I get way more offers to race when I'm in my 2015 chevy ss though....the red rocket; 4 doors and an LS3. Not as fast as the rcf but damn close and actually feels stronger.

Just raced a 370z with 20 inch vossen cvt with exhaust, intake, and tune making 300 to the wheels. I thought I was going to pull on him hard but I won 1 to 1.5 car lengths to 80. It was 95 degrees outside but I guess that is not an excuse because both cars will be a bit crippled due to temp. It was closer than I thought..

80 mph is very short going for only 7 - 8 seconds. Considering he was modded, you would have to race till 120 - 130 mph to stretch the lead by exploiting the high rpm power/gearing advantage.

Stock vs stock, it is close to a 1 seconds difference with the NISMO 370Z (which makes a bit more power than the standard 370Z).

Default No Worthy Takers Yet

Coming back from a long road trip the other day just cruising in Eco mode for MPG, a 335i and I kept coming across each other in traffic just over 80 mph. At one point they came along side just in front of me in the passing lane, the passenger window comes down and the female in the car gives me the "lets go" hand signal. I just ignored them as its wasnt worth my effort as I figured it wouldnt be much of a competition. A little while later traffic was pretty light and I see them coming up in the left lane again and they slow down and match my speed, sitting even with me in the left lane. I figure it was time to to end it and be done with them. I look over and give them the "do you really want to do this look", look back straight ahead, reach down and twist the **** to Sport + (overkill). About then I see their front lurch ahead and I just nail the throttle down and watch them disappear in my rear view mirror rapidly. I slowed back down and they backed off never to be seen again. What a shame, the first time I get anyone wanting to mess with me and its just a 335i......

Be careful....one tune and that 335i will blow your doors off....no kidding....RCF would not even be close. 335 can look stock and have this tune (jb4 or something like that). Good kill though 👍.

A stock RCF would get beaten by a tuned/FBO 335. However, with a few mods on the RCF, it becomes an interesting race.

This is a header/exhaust RCF (IMCHIA's RCF) vs a FBO/tuned 335 with an ethanol mix

Another great video Rolla, Thanks. I am considering headers & the RRR tune for sometime in the future.
My daily driver is also an 05 XRS, bone stock though.

LOL...what a coincidence. Never thought I would run into another XRS owner who has a weekend RCF. I made a straight jump from my XRS to RCF LOL I modified my XRS quite a lot back a few years ago, but now it is just the daily driver hoping to stretch it out for as long as I can considering it has 230,000 km. All of my modding efforts will be towards the RCF.

Don't know if it counts, but we had a '09 bright red XRS.... Sold it, but was a great little car. Had a daily driver Prius C for a while, but here in Southern Cal, the RCF works fine on a daily basis, so only 2 cars in the family, which means everything fits in the garage.

That is cool. Though, the 2AZ XRS were made with very different focus than the early 2ZZ XRS, but I liked the exterior design definitely more of the 09+ XRS than my 2ZZ XRS.
