Default Rc f gt

I don't know man, I hope it's not just cosmetic but a more pure focus. Hell i just test drive the kia stinger gt2 and was really impressed. I personally wished it had the v8 sound though.

Interesting picture. BTW, the Stinger does not compete with RCF in any shape or form so not sure what the relevance is here. RCF is in a completely different class (performance, handling, luxury etc.).

hmm, if that is a partial refresh for 2019, I can say the headlights appears to be nicer than the existing ones, and I like the new mirrors.

Grill mesh and surround is redone.
The front lower intakes more square and less triangular.
Maybe side skirt?
Wonder why they covered part of the rear side window?
Obviously getting rid of active wing.
Diffuser looks more like the TRD.
Vents in rear bumper?
Don't like the mirrors. Just more in line with current line up...don't know. Doesn't feel as organic and more tacked on.

Lexus design is moving away from LFA cues just like the air vents and mirrors.

I don't know. Will pass judgement when it comes out.

Looks like pics of LCF are out

Man I really hope the LCF doesn't have 10 gears. I'd definitely be interested in picking one up a few years from now if it didn't.

I like it. Also, I noticed it appears to have carbon ceramic brakes. Not sure if I'm crazy about the fixed rear wing. I think I prefer my current active wing. I do like that LC F prototype though...

Interesting, I dunno I’m such a sucker for the triple beam headlights but it’ll be interesting to see how they revised the headlights when fully revealed. I’m also interested to see if they are able to shave off any weight.

The article mentions additional carbon fiber bits, but all of those are standard carbon fiber package parts (hood for Euro/JDM spec, roof and spoiler). It is an updated mule of the RCF carbon fiber package.

Front lights have changed drastically and it is wearing the MPS4S tires meaning RCF will get much better performance oriented tires.

Hopefully this will keep the RCF in the spotlight and draw positive interest to the RCF platform. Most of what they are doing with RCF GT car though can easily be achieved with currently available aftermarket parts. And I agree the triple beam headlights are something special, to loose that would knock off another point of interest for me.

Considering 2015 and 2016 models are the only ones that have ECU's that can be unlocked how many think that they may become highly sort after in the future? I'm not sure if anyone will be able to successfully unlock post 2016 models.

I like all the subtle mods... side skirts alone will keep the side of the car much cleaner while adding what lip kits give us now as standard.
Could do without the big wing all "GT" labeled higher end cars are coming with now, and would rather have had a more aggressive version of the active spoiler, but the mechanics are weighty.
Loving the 2-piece rotors all around and the simpler wheels/better tires to go with it.
Doubt it will have pikes peak weight reduction of 800 pounds(would be badass!) but maybe with all the carbon bits coming standard, the rotors and hopefully interior lightening mods it will save 100-150 somehow.
Liking the LC style mirrors better than what we currently have on the RC...

for the LCF, similar awesomeness there... the extra fender width up front alone will swallow a set of those fat rear wheels for a killer more sports oriented GT car.
Liking the extra attention to airflow/cooling and no active spoiler on the rear here either... so maybe they will just offer the non-steer rear for this racier model to keep it simple and on purpose point.
Really with the clear wheel/tire/suspension changes, if they just fix the lower half of the 10 speeds to due proper acceleration and make use of the current motor's power band it would be a huge improvement without even doing a TT setup with more power.
And if just add a package like this to go along with the GT package in the RC F for another $10-20k, they'd get a lot more through volume then doing a car with twins and all at a $70k price hike level.

That 800 lbs weight reduction on RCF GT was taking out the interior and safety equipment. This updated RCF at best, might be about 150 - 180 lbs lighter down to around ISF's 3800 lbs or so (being overly optimistic) and possibly will have minor power bump to about 480 - 490 HP with exhaust tweaks. It already has more aggressive MPS4S tires on the mule and maybe, some suspension tweaks as well. Maybe, a more aggressive TVD setting for more heavy oversteer bias.
