RC F 10th Anniversary paint protection
Hi,
I just picked up my RC F 10th Anniversary edition yesterday.
First of all, I'm blown away, it's absolutely gorgeous.
I was planning on wrapping it in the X Pel Stealth product using a certified installer.
However, when reading the Matte Paint Care Guide provided with the car it states that Lexus does not recommend applying any wrap to the finish including the type specifically designed for a matte finish.
What do you all think? It does not specifically state that applying this product would void the paint warranty but who knows?
IMO it would be very difficult to drive the car with any frequency unless the paint is protected with a wrap. Reading the paint care guide provided by Lexus is terrifying. You need to immediately clean any bird droppings, tar, sap, rain water, salt water, etc. Failure to immediately clean one of these substances can lead to paint damage. So the question is am I better off wrapping the entire car and worrying about damage to the underlying clear coat in the future or not wrapping the car and worrying about the environmental hazards and the need to rapidly remove them?

My guess is you would not want STEALTH wrap because that usually makes shiny cars - matte.
Regarding wrap. I would look into the BMW and Mercedes forums. They have longer hx of frost paint. I would also call an elite wrapping company and ask their opinion in their experience.
Xpel is 10 year warranty but most wrap places rec replacement in 5-6 years.
The paint care seems universal in regard to cleaning bird poop and sap and tar...
Congratulations on the car!

I stand corrected. Makes sense you would want the stealth to keep it matte. Versus an original clear bra which would be shiny. I've seen shiny cars get the matte look this way. Hope it doesn't detract away from paint underneath
