"Pedal Commander' or APEXi throttle controller?

Awesome. Thanks for the update. Was it difficult to get the harness unplugged? Did you leave the door open for 15 minutes or just did straight install? Yes, it does not add any power, but it just makes it more accessible earlier by opening and closing the throttle body earlier. I will also write a review once I have it installed.

The plug was a ***** to get off. Yes I left the driver side door open for 12 min. It said 10. I left it a bit longer. Other than that was easy and really noticeable. I know people say just drive it in sports S plus. I already do. This makes a difference. I will dial it back from race 9. I find it too responsive if that is possible

Does that stay in the OBDII port or is there an adaptor that plugs in then the handheld communicates with it? I'm just wondering in terms of having something always plugged into the OBDII port and or cable hanging out. A lot of subie guys ride around with their access port always plugged in but it's one of those things, I don't want to see or have plugged in.

Ah that's cool then! Even better that it's out of sight. I don't know why was imaging some big *** thing hanging from the OBDII..lol Definitely post your thoughts on it when you get it and have it installed! Should be interesting,

I really like my Apex'i although I don't turn it on all the time. It's convenient when you need to get the 4000# of static weight off the block quickly. Like many with one of these throttle controllers described, it's not the same as stomping on the gas. By the time the other guy's foot reaches the floor, I'm already several feet ahead. Just make sure to turn Trac off, so the engine won't cut out momentarily.

Only thing is, I hope I can maintain traction with my new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S XL tires as I don't want to roast my tires. They are super sticky and have a much wider contact patch than the OEM PSS tires (despite the same size). Hopefully, I will be able to put the power down nicely with the response.

Thanks. Agreed, Sport+ is still not the same as using an ETC. Definitely, would be a lot more noticeable in these sense micro-level changes to the throttle input will make bigger difference in how the car responds. Maybe, race level 4 or 5 would be more usable with sport+ mode on, I think.
for the RCF. I need to play around. I think Race 9 is too much. Maybe Race 7 would be ok. Need to play.

I bought 2. One for my Jeep Wrangler and one the RCF. The Jeep race 9 is perfect. The lag on the stock throttle was crap. Made a real difference. Or is how it should have been from the factory.

Hey guys,
I tried tonight for almost one hour until my fingers got too sore. I just could not unplug the harness. I think my issue might be trying to use my index or middle finger to push the tab down. I guess it needs pressure from the thumb since thumb has no flex? The reason why I could not get the thumb on it is most likely because of my angle in how I was resting myself in the footwell. I tried pushing the tab down as a test on the SprintBooster and I figured, thumb is the only way to unplug it. Can you please confirm this? I used my other fingers since the place between the throttle pedal and the transmission tunnel is very tight. Since I was entirely in the footwell, I could not get my thumb around it. Maybe, I am going to have be half outside/half inside to get the right angle so that my thumb could reach the tab on the plug. Any input would be much appreciate including if you used your thumb? Thanks.
