Default Brake rotors: Stealership or real deal?

At my 35k service the dealer recommended I change the front rotors. He stated that Lexus recommends it be done at 30k. I was wondering if any of you all have done that and what they charged. It looks like the OEM rotors go for about $250 each online.

I'm on my second set of brake pads and the sensor hasn't gone off yet. Dealership was quoting me $1300 including new pads/sensors.

Thanks,

everything online is a lot cheaper, and dealership always charge a lot in labor and parts for brakes because they sell you parts at list price and book value for brakes are normally 1.5-2 hours labor per axle, you will probably get about 2 pad changes out of the rotors before they become too thin and need to be replaced

You do not change rotors due to mileage but due to thickness. See attachments:

BTW, I'd find a new dealer, your dealer lies. And see this thread:

I got just about 110k out of a set of Akebono brakes on a G37s and they were not babied. My honda's on the other hand have tended to eat brakes...

I have not had my pads off yet to see if there is a part number on them, but have searched the web looking for the actual Brembo part numbers and the only thing I found was one chain autoparts store shows the front pads only with part # P83154N and the same on my favorite online auction website. Didnt know if thats the OEM pad or not?
f you could provide the actual Front & Rear Brembo part numbers that would be awesome. Thanks

^^^^The TSB pads while quieter and less dusty than the original pads, are also lower in performance.

Question - Why repost my response when you are responding right below it

Lost me there Lou.
As I've said many times before. I'll do anything to get rid of this crazy brake dust on OEM Pads!

About to pull trigger on Project Mu PS, but was told they are seriously loud - which I dont want either! So, do I stomp my feet and ask for TSB Pads or go the Mu route?
