Downshift Blip Inconsistent

Downshift Blip Inconsistent
Hi Guys,
I'm sure this is another newb question, and keep in mind I've come from the world of DSG, where every gear change, whether up or down, behaves the same way day in day out.
When the RCF is on song (read high RPM), the transmission executes beautiful rev matching blips on the downshift. But when things settle down and you are coming to a stop at a set of lights and you manually down change around the 300RPM mark, the blip is gone! Instead the gearbox changes down a gear with a huge lurch - reminiscent of auto transmissions of yesteryear (if you manually moved the lever from D to 3 to 2 to 1).
Is this normal? Should it be blipping irrespective of how low the RPM has fallen on the downward run?
I've tried different drive modes in manual mode and it makes no difference...

You have to feel it out and the rev matching will be at your finger tips. I have it down, you just gotta drive. I’m not sure if all F cars are the same but I noticed that the rev matching happens easier in sport and sport plus. Good luck!

There is no need for rev matching if you are only at 3000 rpm since the lower gear will only be about 500 - 800 rpm higher (say, going down from 3rd to 2nd). It will simply downshift without a blip. I have been doing heel-toe and rev-matching for many years. You have to be in high rpms (somewhere over 5000 rpm or so) for the rev matching to work since the spacing would wider at high rpms with the lower gear. Totally normal.-
