I waited 2 years for sedan RCF to be revealed as an ISF with similar dimensions. But, then to my disappointment they came out with the GSF as the 4 door. It was way too big for my taste and when I saw them parked side by side in a car show (with a Molten Pearl RCF), I decided to make a compromise on the 4 door and go for 2 doors. I am glad I did since my 4 door 6 speed manual Corolla daily driver does 90% of the duties. I have come to appreciate coupe dimensions since 2 door proportions and seating position have a special thing about it aesthetically and it screams "sports car" to everyone (even if the 4 door sedan counterpart is identical in every way).

I have a Graco baby seat in the RCF as well and we drive the RCF whenever it is a trip on big, clean highway roads and not in congested areas especially parking lots with cars parked closely.

Eventually, I will have to get an SUV or a sedan (and probably retire the XRS) since RCF will never be our daily and Corolla XRS is heavily modified with a harsh suspension, heavy duty clutch/8 lbs flywheel combo so my wife never wants to drive.

Congrats! I've been seriously considering these two cars. RCF vs M3. I don't need the 4 doors but I don't like the size of the M4 and I want more power than the M2 offers.
Anyway I love the V8 and the looks of the RCF but I like the driving engagement I get with the M3. I've been thinking of YMB/ or IR w Comp

Hey the rcf. More rare and better sounds. Handles great.

Well, I only have 126 miles on the M and still babying it because of the break in period. So, far I have no problems driving or cruising around town similar to the RC-F. But I noticed that some roughness in the DCT. But the shifting in the M can be customized which I have not really done so.
Ride quality is similar to my dropped F which is stiffer. Though I think it is more compliant around corners because of maybe the lighter weight?
Anyways, overall I my initial impressions of the M with competition package is positive. I cant say the same for the early model years as I heard that that the 2015 and 2016 base models are rough.

Both are great cars, can't go wrong with either. I was selling my XFR to get something cheaper, so I was set on getting an IS350....but I ended up walking out with RCF, lol.

I have a grey RCF and I still wonder if I'll switch to a sedan next and since I'm still wishing I went for a livelier color I imagine the YMB would work for me. Just tried Android Auto recently and other than the USB wiring needed, it's definitely icing to the cake.

What are you planning to do to the F8X to improve the sound? That Alfa would've been nice and I'm hesitant to believe that the later model years are significantly improved vs first MY in quality assurance.
With the valves close, the M with sport exhaust still sounds like a lawn mower..hahaha. But when they are opened in Sport + mode, its a little beastly with farting sounds, So, I don't really have plans of modding the exhaust. I am planning some cosmetic mods though i.e. rear spoiler etc..

Similar thought on the size of the GS-F, rolla. The size of the IS-F is perfect which similar to the M.

I don't think it was embarrassing at all! It got outrun by a twin turbo, 400lb lighter car in that video. Overall the GSF holds it own!

But like you said it's all subjective. To each their own!

Very nice pick up! Love that color. You'll be pretty happy with the new car, I switched from my RC F to the M4 1.5 years ago and it has been great. Biggest things I missed from my RCF were the beautiful exhaust note (I had a Joe Z exhaust), incredible seats and the awesome instrument panel. I also really loved the RC styling. I do not miss the infotainment system at all and I wish Lexus would give their performance cars the 360 camera options, those have saved my wheels many times in the M so far. The M feels more composed than the RC did, and that lovely low end torque is addicting.

I will say though, I feel there is something special about the Lexus F cars that I really miss, and am currently looking at possibly picking up a GSF myself. Congrats again on the new ride!

I have a need for 4 doors and a little more practicality, thus the decision.

Enjoy your RC-Fs in good health! Cheers!
It's the car that I'm searching in my country. This electric blue with parts of purple in it is incredibly beautiful. In the same time it's very difficult to find in this colour (white, black and grey are making 95% of the mix) and for a correct price at the moment. Entry prices are around 65k dollars, even for medium mileage vehicules. But I think the coming of a new RCF will make the price go down a little bit.

Agreed. I saw for the first time a new green Bullet Mustang parked close to my car yesterday and I could not believe how bland it looked with my RCF parked on the other side. Wish I had taken a picture.

On the way back, I was with my wife and daughter. I lightly accelerated turning left in 1st gear and quickly shifted up to 2nd. There was an older Mustang GT (2005ish) with a loud exhaust behind me in the other lane. Next thing, he punches it behind me and gets 2 cars on me and then lets off pacing beside me. I was too busy enjoying the engine noise and the experience to care about that. My wife jokingly said, this Mustang guy was trying to race with you. I told her I don't need to prove anything because I was sure the cars behind me are noticing our RCF and not that Mustang.

Yes, most likely you are right. I remember your login. I have been active on the RCF forums since the begin and 2 years till the time I finally got one.

I finally pulled the trigger in November, 2017 with 8000 miles and has been a complete blast. Molten Pearl Carbon Fiber/TVD with all options.
